Calling in Bats! Build Your Own Bat Box and Keep Mosquitos Away
Join Stephen Sutton for an informative sessions on bats and build your own bat box!
According to Bat Conservation International, one little bat can eat over 1,000 mosquitos or 60 medium-sized moths in just one night! What other reason do you need to find a nice home for your San Jacinto flying mammal friends? Idyllwild Garden Club / Idyllwild Community Garden will provide materials to build your very own bat house along with some education and interesting bat facts. No carpentry experience is needed, but some assembly will be required at the workshop. It works great to bring along a helper to assist.
The donation for the class is $10 per person and $20/family. There is also a $10 materials fee to build your bat box. You can donate at the garden. All proceeds go to our educators and garden upkeep.
Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Class is limited to 15 people. See you at the garden!
